Trillium Yorkville

Set within Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood, Trillium is the renovation of a commercial space conceived for a beauty clinic — an environment intended to feel warm and welcoming rather than clinical or sterile. The project explores how soft architectural forms, warm neutrals, and tactile materials can be used to redefine a wellness setting through atmosphere rather than convention.

Upon entry, backlit archways frame the reception lounge, their gentle curves casting a soft glow across walls finished in a warm palette. The lighting acts as both architecture and atmosphere — sculptural in form, ambient in effect — establishing a sense of calm.

A boucle sofa, travertine plinth tables, and a single olive tree compose the seating vignette, introducing Mediterranean influences that quietly inflect the space. Fluted cabinetry, sculpted stone side tables, and natural surfaces continue the material narrative through the treatment corridors, where consistent detailing maintains a sense of unhurried continuity from front-of-house to private rooms.

The result is a study in warm minimalism with a deliberate sense of flare — a clinical setting reframed as a sanctuary, where every surface, curve, and detail is shaped to slow the pace and put those within at ease.
